Nice work! Wow! The Permit were pretty much a no show. Maybe the folks who market the Merkin Tournament, forgot to add "The Permit" to the tournament update email list?? :) -- Anyway, when any fish are spread out and concentrations are thin (which it sounds like that was the case) ... ya definately gotta make every shot count - and that's especially true with permit - because ya gotta do that even when there IS a high concentration of fish. So, I don't know I'm just a guy who like to cast to pretty much anything that crosses my path, but it seems that winning under these circumstances says a lot more than if the concentration of permit had been higher. Nice work FINDING the few fish that did show up for the tournament, setting up on the fish and making the relatively few "shots" that you did have COUNT. So often, the art of FINDING THE FISH gets trumped by the art of making the perfect presentation and "selling" the fish the fly .. but .. if ya can't find 'em .. well then .. the presentation and "selling" the fly don't matter much .. infact, they don't matter at all. Nice work finding the fish, presenting the fly and selling the fly! Not easy to do - under any circumstances - especially when there are "No" fish! ..
